DeRanke Franco Belge
BELGIUM - A Special Belge beer. This style was created in 1905 as a response to the English Ales & German Lagers that started to be imported by Belgium. DeRanke's version leans more toward the English Ale spectrum. Amber in color, biscuity in aroma, lightly toasted barley flavor, a tad nutty and a bit hoppy in character. Belgian-grown, whole cone Fuggles hops which add a bit of a grassy note. 5.2%abv

Fonta Flora Rhythm Rug
NORTH CAROLINA - Appalachian wild ale brewed with a heavy dose of fresh North Carolina-grown strawberries. The addition rate is 5 pounds of fresh strawberries per gallon of beer. Two distinct “wild” yeast strains are used in this complex beer. The OG strain has morphed over the past decade due to their use of a solera method, so the brettanomyces portion has muted a bit. The second yeast strain is dubbed “Dandy” began as OG, but they discovered a wonderful change when they added freshly harvested dandelions, so they began propagating that as a separate yeast strain. 6.4%abv

Russian River Pliny the Elder
WINDSOR, CALIFORNIA - A bit of history first: Vinnie Cilurzo brewed America's first Double IPA, named "Inaugural Ale", back in 1994 at Blind Pig Brewing Co, Temecula, CA. Then Vinnie was hired as the original and only head brewer at Korbel Chanpagnes Cellars' foray into brewing - Russian River Brewing Co. Vinnie and his wife, Natalie bought the brewery a few years later and opened their Santa Rosa location. Vinnie is the originator of this style and he still brews the best version, Pliny the Elder. Brewed with copious amounts of Amarillo, Centennial, CTZ, and Simcoe hops. Very hoppy, but not a hop bomb - the balance of the malt and hops is extraordinary. Super drinkable, but be careful it's 8%abv.
